How do you Unwind?

Greetings for Mommasaywhat!

Today I decided to get a feel for how everyone that subscribes to this blog unwinds after a long day. We all work, whether it is out of the home or in it. It is truly inevitable we are women! With that said I take the lead.

I work out of the home, my job involves a lot of paper and computer work. So I wonder if it would amaze others if they knew what I did after I came home each day. For starters, the dog has to go out. It's summer, well, not officially but we have had 19 days of 3 digit temps here in Oro Valley, AZ. I get the dog fresh water. I sit down, log on to … you guessed it a computer! For me, it is unwinding because I do what I want to do, read what I want to read, and it's so different than working on the computer at my job.  I check my email, log on to Facebook, play words with friends, check my city in Cityville (but not as much as I used to), play a few quick games of Slingo, talk to my daughter on Facebook while doing all of the previous things, check the news, pay bills as needed, cook, clean, do laundry. Sometimes I am lucky and there isn't much laundry. Last night I refused to cook and had take out – Panda Express!  Does this sound like unwinding to anyone other than me? Because that's just the regular 5 day work week.

Now when I really unwind. I do absolutely bare minimum. Of course, I can now. I am an empty-nester. I clean the night before my weekend off (most of the time) and literally watch movies, eat, nap, sometimes shop,  and get on Facebook. But let's face it  I'm 52 now, when I was younger I felt absolutely horrible if I didn't get everything done. Well I do kind of still feel that way, but I can attest to the fact that I am certainly not sweating the small stuff anymore.

I think I decided really to blog about this because at 52 I now really really know that tomorrow it will all still be here. Nobody else is going to do it for me. It most certainly will not disappear. I know my daughter isn't coming over to help, it's a bit of a drive!

Please share how you unwind. While my mind is still sharp and I'm really not that old. I can use some fresh ideas.

That's it from Mommasaywhat!

Have a Great Night!
