Subscribe to Weekly Offers

hroselli-dollarsandsense-piggybank

When I first entered the blogosphere, I intended to share deals galore with my readers.  I quickly found out that it’s a flooded market.  Blogs that post deals multiple times per day are plentiful.  Instead of infiltrating my blog with deals and coupons, I want to move this content to a weekly email subscription.

The weekly email will feature only a handful of deals and offers, hand-picked by me! These deals and offers are those which I’ve researched thoroughly and either would partake in if the need arises, have taken advantage of in the past or I’m currently engaged in.

Many of the offers and deals you will see relate to a need or want that I have (had) in my household and I feel will directly relate to my readers.  They’re practical deals for moms, dads, grandparents, people who eat food in general, those who like to save on food, parents of teens, people who NEED to save on essentials, those who work-at-home, remotely or on the road, people with pets and more.

ROAR: I’m Never Full!

It’s on, like Donkey Kong.  We’ve officially entered the TEEN years.   Today I received “the sign”.

While my son’s first year of officially being a “TEEN” is nearly over, in a matter of weeks, I’ve yet to “feel it” yet.

Yesterday afternoon, I called my son on my way home from work to let him know I had to run a few errands prior to arriving home.

I advised him to eat one of the Campbell’s Go Soups if he was hungry immediately.  He then proceed to advise me he already had Pringles. (Now that’s wholesome).

I repeated that he should eat the Go Soups if that didn’t tide him over.  He then told me that he’s NEVER FULL!!

Swagazon LOGO

To kick start my efforts of buying everyday items on Amazon, I used a portion of my first $20 from Swagbucks redemptions in 2013, to buy myself a healthy breakfast item. With the turn of the new year, not only have I resolved to save money by creating more money, but also to live a healthier lifestyle. I rarely eat breakfast during the weekday and usually end up gorging ruthless amounts of food for lunch.

Sunday, I began counting my calories. I had no breakfast and McDonald’s for lunch. A McChicken, a large fry (bad idea to begin with) and a HI-C Orange Drink cost me over 1,500 calories. That is my recommended daily intake to get in shape. Clearly, I needed to make some changes.

I rarely use Amazon for grocery items, but rather for things I want instead of need, so today I found Pure Bar Organic Fruit & Nut Bars, while looking for healthy meal options. The variety pack is $19.99, but after a special offer ($4.00 Off), It would only be $15.99, which is $1.33/bar.

Then I noticed other varieties were available.  Cherry Cashew or Wild Blueberry are only $16.79, but after the $4.00 off are only $12.79, making each bar $1.07/each.  The lowest price I found on the web was around $1.80 per bar +, so even if you go for the variety pack with the $4.00 off, you still save.
