I’m an office supplies GEEK. When it comes to pens, I’m a bit of a snob. My favorite pen
is was the Uniball Powertank, mostly for the way it wrote. To me price is no obstacle (for the most part). I love a medium ball point pen the most, but quite frankly the standard Bic Ballpoint pen is not quite dubbed as a comfort pen. Sometimes, you have to sacrifice comfort for quality or so I thought.
As much as I try to go “DIGITAL” some things just need to be written down or they get LOST. I also find myself writing letters more (ya know those pen to paper style….pre-email days) just for a more personal effect. In addition, taking notes at work is where I use writing utensils the most. After 8 hours of jotting down notes from calls, it’s important to have an ergonomic pen.
Insert the UGLee Pen. The name was derived from Dr. Lee’s Ultimate Grip Pen (U=Ultimate, G=Grip, Lee=Dr. Lee)
I’ve been using the pen for about 2 weeks now and I get a bit frantic when I can’t locate one and am forced to use another pen.

#1: I LOVE the way it writes. It beat out my Uniball Powertank, which is a ball point pen that can write at any angle, on wet paper or even in LOW temperatures.
The UGLee Pen is mated with the smoothest ink system known, smoother than any roller ball, gel ink, or fountain ink pen.
#2: It’s super-light. It weighs less than 11 grams. At first, this meant literally NOTHING to me, but after using it for a few weeks, I can definitely tell the difference versus a regular pen.
#3: The grip is comfortable. A coworker tried the pen, who is also a pen snob and loves the way it writes as well as the grip. He did comment that it feels like boogers and the glitter specs could be done without, but that’s a dude and non-pen aficionado for ya. I thought he was like me. Ugh.
#4: It’s refillable. In black, red or blue ink at $17.94 including shipping for 10 refills, I’m all about it! To me it’s totally worth it even as frugal as I am.
Overall, there are some things I’m willing to spend a bit of extra money on for quality. You can buy a cheap pen that only lasts a little while that creates an indent in your finger, or you can buy the UGLee Pen. It’s long lasting, comfortable, airy, ergonomic and the tip is AMAZING!! I’ve actually been writing MORE just so I can use it!
I highly recommend this pen! It’s my new favorite!
More about UGLee Pen:
Dr. Lee’s Story
As a medical student, I wrote volumes in terms of notes. In medicine, medical notes are all hand written. I averaged 20 full pages of hand written notes a day… day in and day out for years.
You can imagine how my hand kept cramping up! I spent a lot of time and money looking for a comfortable pen. After trying what I believe to be every pen out there, I failed painfully to find even one!
I was frustrated because most pens were not designed for comfort at all. The few that were listed as “comfort pen” were obviously mislabeled.
I was determined to create my own pen – one that would meet my expectations of comfort. Since then, I have spent over eight years to create the first truly comfortable pen. The pursuit of pen comfort became a hobby… no, an obsession during this eight year period. I dedicated an inordinate amount of my own time and resources in this endeavor.
Luckily, I am blessed with an extremely patient and understanding wife – our garage is full of various machinery, pen prototypes, and pen materials collected over the years!
My drive to create the ultimate comfort pen led me to go as far as to study the structure of the human hand using X-ray and researching the attachment and function of hand muscles to design the perfect grip.
The result is the UGLee Pen. A pen that is not only the most comfortable pen, but is physician designed to be the most comfortable ergonomic pen around.
The UGLee Pen is available in red, pink, white, yellow, green, blue and grey barrels (outer color) and the ink in red, black & blue.
