I am always looking for ways to be more “efficient”. Tackling my skin care routine in the shower was merely a wish, especially since I’m in a rental home. The shower is what it is…or so I thought. Even though I’m constantly “researching” things when I think “I wish there was a way” or “there’s got to be a better way” for some reason it never occurred to me to search for a way to accomplish performing my skin care routine in the shower.
When I was offered the opportunity to review the Original Fogless Shower Mirror from ToiletTree, I jumped for joy!
I also got the “I wish I would have thought of that” feeling!
I have been known to prop up not-so-shower-friendly accessories, including mirrors in a sour attempt to accomplish my goals. What did I get? FOG galore because I love HOT showers, but came really close to breakage and even ruined a few makeup compacts in the process.
I’ve been using the Original Fogless Shower Mirror for a few weeks now. Let me take you on a journey from the time I received the product.

Installation
Installation was a cinch. Just attach the mounting tape to the bracket before you attach the mirror. Apply the provided silicone adhesive and mount at eye level, allowing the silicone adhesive to set for 24 hours before attaching the mirror. During this time, you can use your shower.
The silicone adhesive that comes with the product is better alternative to suction cups or modules that hang from the shower head, especially since I have a detachable shower head. It stuck to my tiles and I have no fear that it will fall.
We mounted ours on the opposite site of the shower head.

Usage
We set our mirror a little higher, as my boyfriend will be the primary user of this mirror (along with his Phillips Norelco Aquatouch razor). The mirror has a pivoting frame, so I was still able to use the mirror.
His Phillips Norelco Aquatouch shaver fits when the mirror is pivoted higher, but I do have to remove it to pivot it down to my level. Since I’m not super keen on sharing my shower time, here is a dry pic as a demo! Plus, I just got my broken phone screen repaired, so I didn’t want to do MORE damage!!
The size of the mirror is extra large in comparison to what I had been substituting. It measures 8.5in x 6.5in x 1.5in.
It’s Fogless
What makes this mirror fogless is that it has a fillable reservoir, when filled with warm/hot water it basically sets the temperature to that of your current water conditions, if you fill it with your shower water/air temperature. It really does work! Plus, the included squeegee allows you to wipe off any “initial” fog and water as you step in to the shower.
I was very impressed during my many showers. It actually kind of forced me to stay on par with my skincare routine and it’s a great tool for masks or facial treatments that require a waiting period, such as the AHA Brazilian Peel. I can make sure I’ve removed all of the product when it’s time!
It’s Shatterproof
I’m a self-proclaimed klutz, so this is GREAT for me. I have a tendency to break things. The acrylic mirror is shatterproof and even looking in it, I still feel I get the same effect as a glass mirror and I don’t have to get “close-up”.
Other benefits
I have not yet had the opportunity to gauge it’s removability, but after reading countless reviews I have heard that it’s more of a semi-permanent fixture. In other words, it’s not meant to be moved around on a regular basis, but if after 1-2 years I decide to move from my rental home it can be removed and reattached with no damage to the existing surface. The only thing I don’t see is the option to purchase more mounting tape and silicone adhesive, but countless review responses from the President of ToiletTree offer free replacement should you wish to remount the product. I cannot personally guarantee this, but I thought that was neat.
In addition, ToiletTree offers a 100% 30-day money back guarantee. This reminds me of Kia. While it’s a vehicle, offering a solid guarantee on a product means (to me) that the product is proven to be a winner. If a company expected for their product to fail they WOULD NOT offer such a guarantee!
