Sun protection is an important factor for children and adults alike around the clock. It’s important that we teach our children to start early, but protecting their eyes from the harmful UVA/UVB rays of the sun. Finding an affordable pair of sunglasses styles that children will love is a difficult combination. I can’t tell you how many pairs of generic sunglasses we’ve picked up from drugstores, discount department stores and even grocery stores without even checking for UVA/UVB protection.
My son JUST turned 13 and he is a thin one, like his father, so based on the size specifications for ages 7-12 on the Real Kids Shades website, I decided to give them a try! They came in a nice, thick, plastic reusable pouch with a latch so they can be taken with your child every where they go! Upon opening them, I could feel how durable both the frame and lenses are. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree when it comes to the need for durable eye wear.

They’re definitely stylish enough for my son. He likes the Blade in Black the best. Best of all they offer features and protection that I can’t find at a reasonable price. I really like these glasses. if they are as toddler proof as they say they are this would be perfect. my son loves to wear sunglasses and knowing its FDA approved and will help protect his eyes im all for it. I hope he doesn’t mind the strap though

Great shades. Love the protection from harmful rays.
Yeah, it’s really good to also protect your kid’s sight against the harmful sun rays.
