Satisfying a hungry teen’s appetite has been a challenge to say the least. As my son just turned 13, it’s about time for him to start branching out of ready to eat snacks and into mastering some kitchen equipment. The microwave was mastered many years ago and while I’d love for him to learn the stove and oven, I’m just not sure I’m ready for it. So, until we get some together-time in with the stove and oven, his after school snacks are limited.
Farm Rich offers over a dozen frozen snacks and appetizers. We had the pleasure of trying two of them for free in exchange for our honest opinion, thanks to Farm Rich!
First up is Farm Rich Mini Pizza Slices.
Stay tuned for a review of Farm Rich Breaded Mushrooms!
Everybody loves pizza in my house, so the Farm Rich Mini Pizza Slices seemed like the perfect snack to start out with and to have around the house for the time in between after school and dinner.
They can be prepared in the microwave, toaster oven or conventional oven. My favorite way to prepare them is in the conventional oven for a more crisp, even cook.
For this review, we prepared them in the microwave, 8 slices at a time. At first, I didn’t think that was enough to share, but after I placed them on a small plate it resembled a personal sized pizza. 8 slices were enough for me and my 13 year old son to share. With a cooking time of just 1 minute and 45 seconds (microwave times may vary), this would be the perfect snack just before you head out for extracurricular activities.
I could definitely taste the goodness of the mozzarella cheese and particularly enjoyed the marinara sauce.
Overall, the Farm Rich Mini Pizza Slices are a hit in my house and we’ve already purchased more. Again, I prefer them in the oven, but they are also tasty when prepared in the microwave.
