I was a child of the 80′s and quite frankly, I think the 80′s were pretty fantastic as far as toys were concerned. They were so good in fact, that several of these products made a come back. Of course, some of these products are repeats of earlier years themselves.
Let’s start with Popples.
Popples were plush toys that folded themselves into their pouch to form a ball. They reentered the market in 2007. Original Popples are selling for over $100 on eBay.
Next up, Roller Racers.
These bad boys were like the Razor Scooter of the 80′s. Perhaps this is the reason why I’m so lazy. All you had to do was wiggle around the handlebars to provide momentum to get you moving. A sharp turn would result in actual steering. These were all over the place at day care. I can picture it now!

Rainbow Brite
First the dolls, then the cartoon. This all began in 1983. Later attempts to bring the toy back were unsuccessful, including a run of dolls that were missing the color green. Despite the lack of success in bringing the toy back, the Rainbow Brite character has always been a coveted Halloween costume.
She-Ra: Princess of Power
She-Ra is He-Mans sister. I remember playing with She-Ra and then going over to my Grandma’s House and playing along with my cousin Jeremy’s He-Man dolls action figures. He had the castle and all!
{Honorable Mention}
Props to He-Man and Masters of the Universe for allowing me this opportunity.
